Questions people ask
If yours is not here, call or send us a message.
Do I need a referral?
In Florida you can start physical therapy without a referral, within limits your therapist explains. Your plan may still ask for one, and Medicare asks a doctor or another provider to sign off on your plan of care. We tell you what applies before the first visit.
Does Medicare cover this?
Medicare Part B can cover outpatient physical therapy at home if you are not getting home health at the same time. We check your coverage and tell you before we book.
How is this different from home health?
Home health is a Medicare benefit delivered by a home health agency, with its own rules. We provide outpatient therapy at your home. If an agency already visits you, tell us before we book.
What do I need to have ready?
A chair with arms, a clear stretch of floor, comfortable clothes and the shoes you wear at home.
Can my family be there?
Yes. You choose who is in the room, and a family member who lives far away can join by phone or video.
What if I live in a senior living community?
We visit apartments and cottages in senior living communities. We ask the front desk about parking and sign-in before the first visit.
What if I need to cancel?
Call the office as early as you can and we will find another time.
Still have a question?
The office is glad to answer it.
